Ross Christianson has a successful 20 year track record in private equity investing and corporate finance. He has broad industry experience with completed transactions in diverse industries such as business services, consulting, healthcare, manufacturing, marketing services, oilfield services, and outsourcing. He is responsible for originating, executing and managing portfolio investments at Skyline Global Partners. Ross currently sits on the board of Captek Softgel International and DCRX Infusion.
Prior to co-founding Skyline Global Partners, Ross served as a Principal at UIB Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on control and significant minority investments in healthcare, business services, manufacturing and energy companies. Ross was responsible for sourcing and executing transactions, and managing portfolio company investments, serving as a director on several portfolio companies’ boards. Prior to UIB Capital, Ross served as Director with Lake Capital, a Chicago-based private equity group with $1.3 billion under management. While at Lake Capital, Ross was responsible for sourcing and evaluating investments, structuring transactions, coordinating and managing due diligence, negotiating transaction and financing agreements, and monitoring portfolio companies. He led or was involved with more than 20 investments deploying nearly $500 million of equity capital. Additionally, he also managed the firm’s debt financing relationships with a variety of senior debt and mezzanine investment capital providers and was responsible for creating unique financing vehicles optimizing return on investment and mitigating risk. Before joining Lake Capital, Ross spent eight years at GE Capital’s merchant banking group where he sourced, closed and managed leveraged debt and equity co-investments totally over $500 million. Ross began his career with GE Fanuc Automation as a financial analyst.
Ross earned his B.B.A. at the University of Iowa and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Chris Freeburg has 17 years of experience in private equity investing, investment banking, strategy consulting and executive search. His transaction experience includes investing in and advising companies in the healthcare, manufacturing, business services, technology and consumer/retail industries. He is responsible for originating, executing and managing portfolio investments at Skyline Global Partners. Chris currently sits on the board of iMDsoft.
Prior to co-founding Skyline Global Partners, Chris served as a Vice President with UIB Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, where he was involved in the sourcing, execution and management of several portfolio companies. He sat on the boards of Victron, Inc. and Open-Silicon, Inc. while at UIB Capital. Prior to that, he served as Vice President with Healthios, Inc., a merchant banking boutique focused on the healthcare sector, where he was involved with over 20 projects totaling $3 billion in enterprise value and $1 billion of equity capital. Prior to Healthios, Chris was an Associate at TA Associates, a leading private equity firm with $16 billion of capital under management. Over $120 million of capital was deployed in the transactions he was involved in and he personally invested in more than 30 deals while at TA. Before joining TA Associates, Chris worked in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions with the investment bank of Robertson Stephens & Company. While at Robertson Stephens, Chris worked as a critical team member responsible for the firm’s largest client at the time, raising over $1 billion of capital for the company in 24 months. In total, he participated in more than 20 closed transactions during his tenure at Robertson Stephens.
Chris earned his B.A. at Stanford University and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Sachin Gupta has a background in private equity, operations, and consulting. He has worked on investment transactions in North America and globally, including in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Sachin also has worked on the sell-side, having conducted M&A advisory and consulting work for various Fortune 500 clients. He is responsible for originating, executing and managing portfolio investments at Skyline Global Partners. Sachin currently sits on the board of Captek Softgel International and DCRX Infusion.
Prior to co-founding Skyline Global Partners, Sachin spent 10 years in principal investing in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing companies both in the US and abroad. Sachin was most recently a Vice President at UIB Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, where he was involved in the sourcing, execution and management of several portfolio companies. He sat on the board of Ellington Hand Bags. Prior to joining UIB Capital, Sachin was an Associate at Toucan Capital, a growth equity firm focused on biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare services. Before joining Toucan, Sachin worked for APIDC Venture Capital, in Hyderabad India, where he focused on cross-border healthcare investments and before that, he spent 2 years at IllinoisVENTURES focused on early stage investing in a variety of healthcare and technology companies. Sachin spent time in the neurological group at Medtronic Inc. and is also the co-founder of PhysiSense LLC, a medical device company focused on post-stroke rehabilitation.
Sachin earned his B.A. in Economics from University of Michigan, his M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
